3 Hot Tips for Holiday Fat-Loss

By

1.  If you’re not literally writing out when you are doing workouts during the week, then you are missing a big chunk of successful fat-loss no matter what time of year.

As I tell my clients, your body doesn’t know the difference between holidays and regular days, so why should you let the hustle and bustle around you catch you off-guard? You shouldn’t, you don’t need to and, after reading this post, you won’t.

You’ve heard the saying, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Planning success is essential in every area of your life.

2.  Which brings me to my second point: plan your meals and prepare your healthy foods in advance. As your busy-ness picks up, no matter what time of year, you are missing a key element of success if you’re not plotting out healthy meals, batch-cooking your meats, fishes and grains and even bagging up your snack for the week.  Planning anything helps you be consistent and put your priorities first.  If self-care is not on your list of priorities, then now is the time to make it one.

3.  Finally, if you’re not integrating interval training as part of your exercise habits, then you are missing one of the biggest deciding factors in accelerating fat loss.  Unless you really have the time and enjoy working extra hard 1-1.5 hours working out, then interval training is your ticket to fat-loss freedom!  Wasting hours on end at the gym or at home can actually reverse the effects of fat-loss.  Ever feel frustrated that despite your hard efforts, you just can’t seem to lose that spare tire?  Did you know that our hormones kick in and promote body fat storage when we go beyond 45-50 minutes of continuous exercise? If you like saving time and getting results, then you need to implement interval training now.

As a single mom I can attest to how simple it is to spend 20 minutes exercising, planning meals and planning my time around exercise and still have time to take care of my children, run a business and take care of myself.  If you’re finding excuses as you’re reading this, then just remember that success is a decision.  What’s your choice?
